About The Cotswold School

The Cotswold School is a popular, happy and successful 11-18 school in which Ofsted Inspectors have observed:

‘a blazing passion to ensure every student is able to be the best they can.’

This passion shapes the very highest expectations of our pupils and builds the academic excellence that consistently ranks us amongst the top comprehensive schools in the national league tables at both GCSE and A Level.

Situated in an area of outstanding beauty, our pupils breathe fresh air, look out on green Cotswold hills and enjoy the open spaces of our 30 acre site where history is literally under their feet.

Our site has been home to Iron Age families, Roman communities, and the gathering ground for Royalists before the last battle of the Civil War.  Since the 1950s it has been where secondary school pupils learn, grow, compete and make lasting friendships.

Today there are approximately 1200 pupils in the school which includes 250 Sixth Form students.

A specialist Language and Science College, an Outstanding Academy, known for our highly successful preparation for University education, as well as flourishing state-of-the-art facilities in a beautiful rural location, The Cotswold School is a unique blend of innovation and traditional values.
