‘Cadets take to the skies’

Four Combined Cadet Force (CCF) cadets recently visited RAF Benson for an Air Experience Flight (AEF) in a Grob Tutor plane. Cadets were taught emergency procedures before donning flight suits and parachutes for their half hour flight, allowing them to take control and snap some great photos!

Thanks to the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), the CCF has now purchased a Microsoft Flight Simulator. By the end of term, our first year of cadets, eight Year 9 students will have completed all three elements (flight syllabus, flight SIM and AEF) and will be awarded their blue wings badge.

There are still spaces available for cadets to join next year – any students in Year 9 from September are eligible.
