An evening of celebration for students and families

One of the early highlights of the new academic year is the recognition of progress, effort and achievement that we celebrate at The Cotswold School Awards evening. We were delighted to welcome Baroness Jan Royall of Blaisdon, Principal of Somerville College, Oxford, as our inspiring guest speaker. Jan presented each of the winners with a book of their choice.

Will Morgan, Headteacher, said,

“Awards night is a special moment in the school year and our celebration for the 2021-22 academic year was no exception. We mark the successes of members of the whole school. The words of our keynote speaker – Baroness Blaisdon – chimed perfectly with the values of our school – be kind, support others, have the highest aspirations and make the most of every opportunity. We looking forward to further developing the school’s links with her and with Somerville College.”

The Subject Awards are given to students who demonstrate an excellent approach in a particular subject, in each year group.

The Headteacher’s prizes are awarded to people throughout the school for their commitment to school life, to their community or other causes. Their award could be in recognition of their approach to challenges that they face.

Well done to the 200 students who won a prize. The awards were given in September for effort and progress achieved in the 2021-22 academic year and in the summer examinations.
