Planning, designing and creating the products that people use in their everyday lives!

Our pupils enjoy the opportunity to discover and develop their practical skills and abilities. They design, make and evaluate products using a variety of materials and resources. These material areas include Systems and Control, Resistant Materials, Product Design, Textiles Technology and Food Preparation & Nutrition.

We have practical spaces and cutting edge equipment to help our students learn, from traditional machinery and innovative tools in the workshops to a bright and modern food technology room.

Projects include:
Year 7 – Mechanical Toy, Pewter Key Ring, Pop Up Book, Day of the Dead Mask, Healthy Eating and Basic Food Skills.
Year 8 – Electronic Night Light, Ear Phone Tidy, Soft Sculpture, Food provenance and Bread/Pasta products
Year 9 – Memphis Clock, Camera Modelling, Metal Candleholder, Electronic Amplifier, Abstract Cushion Covers, Food Science, Vegetarianism and Pastry Making.
