FameLab Academy 2024
Congratulations to Year 9 students Daisy, Amy, Stef, Grace and Archie who recently took part in The Cotswold School FameLab Academy Final, delivering fantastic talks. Students prepared three-minute presentations to explain a scientific topic in a dynamic and engaging way to an audience and panel of judges. Presentations included; ‘Is there a way out of the universe?’, ‘Pareidolia’, ‘Zeno’s Dichotomy Paradox’, ‘Dreaming’ and ‘Human Emotions’.
Each student demonstrated real knowledge about their chosen topic and were judged on the three Cs; content, clarity and charisma.
Well done to Archie who was announced overall winner with the presentation ‘Human Emotions’. Archie will attend a two-day master class, followed by the Gloucestershire FameLab Academy Final on 21 March – run by the Cheltenham Science Festival.
Thank you to our judges for their help and support.
FameLab is the largest, public facing, science communication competition and training programme in the world.
