Eillen (Y9) recently took part in the FameLab Academy Final. FameLab is the largest, public facing, science communication and training programme in the world which is organised annually by Cheltenham Festivals.
Students prepared three-minute presentations on a scientific topic of their choice, presenting to a panel of judges. They are then marked on the three C’s; content, clarity and charisma.
Eillen gave an engaging three-minute talk, without notes, on the subject of “How the bilingual brain works”. Although not victorious this time, Eillen was highly commended by the organisers of the event and represented the school and herself extremely well. She was supported at the final by her peers who took part in the previous round of the competition, held at school.
Well done to everyone that took part in the competition this year, entries were fantastic!
