Handmade hearts for ‘end of life care’ patients

Sisters Amelia (Year 7) and Faith (Year 11) have been making paired hearts for end of life patients and their families.

The hearts are for people being treated at Horton General Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The girls made them in the hope that they would bring comfort, because patients and their families were unable to be together physically, due to social distancing measures.

One heart is given to the patient and the second heart is given to the next of kin or partner or family member during these extremely difficult times.
