Hannah will dance in Cinderella in Hollywood
Hannah has been dancing for around eight years and always loved performing on stage in dance clubs shows, events and festivals. However, she had never auditioned for a performance like this before.
How did you get selected for the show?
“Early this year I found out about this opportunity – to perform with the English Youth Ballet in the show, Cinderella in Hollywood – from my dance teacher. I decided to apply and was sent a video link which contained a selection of exercises to learn. Then in April I filmed these exercises and we sent them off.”
What happened when you heard the news that you would be performing with the ballet?
“A couple of weeks later I got an email saying I had been successful. I was so excited as this is the first time that I have done something on this scale. I’m most excited for meeting new people and getting to work with professional dancers and choreographers.”
What is going to be the biggest challenge?
“I think the most challenging element of this will be the small time-scale of only two weeks to put this together, but I know the long rehearsal days will be worth it! The shows are at the New Theatre, Cardiff, 19th and 20th August.”
