They will learn about the cardiovascular, respiratory and digestive systems, as well as the roles played by organs such as the pancreas, liver and kidney. They will learn that, in order to survive and stay healthy, we have to detect and respond to changes not6 only in our external environment but also in our bodies. Students will investigate the systems and organs involved in directing and responding to these changes and how they maintain a natural harmony.

Students will learn about some of the conditions that are the result of body parts malfunctioning. They will discover how some are present from birth and while others can develop at any time.
