Following on from his success last year, Jonty (Year 11) has progressed even further with his hockey achievements. Having captained Cheltenham U16 to second place in the National Plate Competition, and fourth place later in the season.

Jonty is currently playing for Cheltenham Men’s First XI, who have been promoted this season, which will mean that he will play National League this September – it is very rare for players to achieve this in their career, let alone in their third season playing men’s hockey!

Awarded best young player by Cheltenham Hockey Club, Jonty also plays for an invitational U16 team who were invited to play against Wales U18 last weekend, playing a tough, well-fought match, to win 2-1!

Jonty will play against Northern Ireland (Ulster) U16 and U18 in a tour in August, as well as regularly playing and training with the England Hockey Talent Academy, Oxford.

Well done Jonty.
