Joss’ hard work pays off in strong second season
Last week, Year 11 student Joss competed in the NSEA Gloucestershire County SJ Qualifier, West Wiltshire, winning the 1m class on her pony Morgan. With over 30 competitors, Joss and Morgan flew, going clear in 35.66 seconds and winning by nearly 6 seconds! Fantastic news for Joss who is now Gloucestershire County Champion and qualifies for The Oliver Bonas County Show Jumping Finals, held at Hickstead in May. She also came 3rd in the 1.1m, just missing out on qualifying for the National Elite Class.
Prior to last weekend, Joss competed at the Bury Farm Pony Premier, her first affiliate show of 2023. In the 1m open she placed 2nd, 4th and 5th, going on to win the Coral 1.1 Qualifier on her pony Vinnie, sending him through to the Bluechip Winter National Championships in April.
With more competitions over the next couple of months, we look forward to keeping up to date with Joss’ progress – well done!
