New 10-classroom building, science labs and gym

Work is under way to provide new facilities for our school

Construction firm Speller Metcalfe is building a new block for the English Department, which will house 10 classrooms and a large learning resource centre. The building follows a highly sustainable low carbon design.

Alongside this development, which will open towards the end of 2021, are refurbished and newly equipped science laboratories and a gymnasium extension to the sports hall.

Will Morgan, Principal, said,

“It is thanks to our continued success in the provision of outstanding education that Gloucestershire County Council is backing a £5.8 million expansion and refurbishment programme at The Cotswold School.

“What we aim to provide, ultimately, is the very best education facilities for the students and local community we serve. With new and refurbished facilities, alongside our outstanding curriculum, we will be offering an exceptional education to a further 30 pupils per year from Year 7 entry in September 2021.”
