Physical Education

Extensive playing fields, astro-turf, refurbished gymnasium, sports hall and courts – we have excellent sports facilities!

In Key Stage 3, pupils have two sports lessons per week. Each lesson lasts approximately 1hour and 10 minutes and students cover a range of activities according to the season.

These include, in winter: basketball, badminton, rugby, football, netball, dance, hockey, floorball and circuits. Summer sports include cricket, rounders, athletics, tennis, ultimate frisbee and softball.

We ensure that the sports that our students are playing are safe and appropriate, opting for skills-focus when necessary. We strive for fitness and confidence in sports performance and are proud of the involvement of all our students, encouraging them to represent their school when possible, from cross-country to netball and rugby.
