‘Positivity’ t-shirt competition winner
Well done to Matthew in Year 7 for his bold and bright design
Molly and Kate, Year 12 Textiles Subject Ambassadors, set up a challenge for our Years 7-9 Textiles students to design a t-shirt expressing the theme of ‘positivity’. Congratulations to Matthew in Year 7, whose winning t-shirt proclaimed, ‘Human: Listen without prejudice’!
The ambassadors said,
“We wanted to put together the design competition to give the students at Key Stage 3 in The Cotswold school the opportunity to show their enthusiasm for design. We have both studied textiles for GCSE and now for A level and have enjoyed taking part in design competitions over the years. For example, the upcycling challenge from a few years ago as well as the school fashion show. As the Textile Subject Ambassadors, we wanted to give students similar opportunities to the ones we were able to take part in lower down the school.”
Miss Franklin commended all the entrants and the winner and runner-up, saying:
“This was a great initiative from Molly and Kate. We were so impressed by the designs that came in and want to celebrate them in Children’s Mental Health week. The T-shirts expressed positive and inclusive messages and were wonderfully creative.”
