The Cotswold School celebrate official English Block opening

Although we had already moved in last November, last week, Thursday 3rd November, we were delighted to welcome Emma and Simon Keswick to officially open The Cotswold School English Block.

Following tours of the school Headteacher, Will Morgan and of English with Aelred Down, Head of Department, we enjoyed entertainment from students Flora Kenning and Cheska Vasquez. We closed the afternoon with the official opening, by the unveiling of the plaque in recognition of Emma and Simon’s support to The Cotswold School, and the ‘cutting the ribbon’ to our newly named ‘Keswick Room’, which will be used for conferences, lectures and clubs.

Headteacher, Mr Will Morgan, said.

“Emma and Simon Keswick have been tremendously supportive of the school over many years and we wanted to show our appreciation to them both. Our official opening was a wonderful opportunity to get together with Emma and Simon; our Chair of Governors, Andrew Parker; and staff members, for an afternoon of entertainment put on by our talented students, Flora and Cheska. Our new English Block has enhanced what we offer to our pupils, giving them a fantastic learning environment.”
