‘Centred around the blossoming relationship between star athlete Troy Bolton, who falls for academic beauty Gabriella Montez after meeting at a karaoke competition. Returning to school after his holiday, Troy discovers Gabriella has transferred to East High, where they both audition for the upcoming school musical. With Sharpay scheming to steal the leading role, Troy and Gabriella struggle to make it to auditions whilst juggling their basketball team and academic decathlon obligations. Full of catchy songs and exciting dance routines, the musical explores issues of friendship, first love and acceptance.’
