Two museums in one day!

Year 10 Art students enjoyed two visits in one Oxford outing: to the Pitt Rivers Museum and the Oxford Museum of Natural History, to support their investigations into structures.

Structures and forms of anatomy, cultures and architecture, as Mr Hillier, Head of Art, explained, are found throughout these museums, which display skeletons, evidence of different civilisations, rocks and minerals in beautiful buildings, built in the mid and late 19th Century.

Students were encouraged to work on their photography skills to meet the challenges of controlling exposure in a darkened environment, such as a space where ancient artefacts are on display.
