Examination results and destinations
The Cotswold School Sixth Form examination results are consistently outstanding.
In 2024:
- 46% of grades were either an A* or A
- 71% of all grades either A*, A or B
- More than 90% were awarded A*to C, with an overall pass rate of 99%
- 62 students achieved two or more A* or A grades
- 34 students achieved three or more A* or A grades
In 2023:
- Results achieved by Year 13 students at The Cotswold School in 2023 were outstanding, with 35% of all grades awarded at A* or A
- 62% of students were awarded A*- B grades
- Overall, the proportion of grades at A*-C was 86%
- 39 of the 134 students achieved two or more A* or A grades
- 27 students (20% of the Year group) achieved three or more A* or A grades
In 2022:
- Results achieved by Year 13 students at The Cotswold School in 2022 were outstanding, with 52% of all grades awarded at A* or A
- 75% of students were awarded A*- B grades at A level
- Overall, the proportion of grades at A*-C was 94%
- 75 of the 140 students achieved two or more A* or A grades
- 41 students (29% of the Year group) achieved three or more A* or A grades
In 2021:
- The percentage of students who were awarded A* grades was 26%
- Fifty-six per cent of our students gained A – A* grades at A level
- Overall, 90% of A level students were awarded A* – C grades and 77.5% gained A* – B grades
- Of the 40 grades awarded to 22 students on vocational courses, 17 were at Distinction*, 14 were Distinction (equivalent to A* – A grades at A level), six were Merits and three passes
In 2020:
- The percentage of students who gained A* – B grades was 72.6%
- The percentage of students who were awarded A* – A grades was 50%
- Five students accepted places to study at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge and over 100 at other prestigious universities
- Out of the 57 vocational course outcomes, 35 were awarded Distinction* or Distinction, equivalent to A*- A grades at A level
In 2019:
- 19% of all grades were at A* and 41% at A* or A
- Two-thirds of all A Level grades were awarded at A*, A or B
- Ten Cotswold School students achieved an impressive three or more A* or A grades, including one student who gained five A* grades
