The 16 to 19 Tuition Fund
The Cotswold School has received additional funding for one year, which was available for schools, colleges and other 16 to 19 providers, to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The school’s award amounts to £1,085 from the DfE’s 16-19 tuition fund for 2023-24. We are spending this by providing a minimum of 2 hours per week of small group English Language tuition (average of three students in each session) for 30 weeks, and a minimum of 2 hours per week of small group intensive Mathematics tuition (average of three students in each session) for 30 weeks.
In addition, there will be some one-to-one tuition in Maths and English, as the need arises. All these sessions are targeted at the small number of sixth form students who have not yet achieved grade 4 in Maths and/or English GCSE.
