  • A tailored provision to meet your career and personal needs
  • Support in finding a job (many of our trainees end up with jobs either at The Cotswold School or locally)
  • A friendly, embracing and welcoming place to train

The course is open to those recently graduated or others keen on a career change.

Taster Days
We are delighted to be able to offer teacher taster visits at The Cotswold School. If you would like to see a school in action and get to know more about the day-to-day job, this is a great opportunity. You will be able to observe lessons, speak to current trainees and teachers and get answers to your questions about training, the career and anything else. Get in touch with us if you would like to join a taster day – if you can’t make a scheduled date, we can discuss other dates and visits to suit you.

Here’s what an aspiring teacher said about his experience on a taster day:

“Thank you and your team for an enjoyable and insightful day. The teachers I shadowed were enthusiastic and happy to answer my questions despite their tight schedules – thank you to them for bringing me into their lessons.

Safeguarding
GITEP, the University of Bristol and The Cotswold School are all committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all our trainees to share this commitment.
