Students rate the sustainability of everyday products
Voiz is a sustainability analysis organisation that promotes critical thinking, independent learning and investigates themes around sustainability.
Now a group of students in Year 12 – who are in the first six-week programme for schools run by Voiz – are joining university students all over the world to add their voices to a call for greater transparency about sustainability.
Milly, Bethan, Sophia and Lucy are among those producing product reviews where they consider the sustainability of a range of products in daily use. They look at the product itself and the company, giving a rating based on their research.

Lucy said, “Through Voiz I hope to help inform both consumers and companies of how we can do better as it’s so important we all do our bit to become sustainable.”
Milly added, “I’m excited to be joining Voiz, to learn more about the origins of our products and how to make better informed decisions when purchasing them as well as the importance of holding companies accountable for their actions. My subjects and enthusiastic teachers have really opened my eyes to the huge problems we face and inspired me to become part of the group that will create a change. I cannot wait to study Geography at university.”
