We are delighted to announce that via their Cotswold Community Fund, the council has confirmed their pledge of £10,000 towards our project to replace the Astroturf carpet with a new 2G sand-filled turf – many thanks to Cotswold District Council for their support.
A huge thank you to everyone who has pledged and donated, raising nearly £3,500 so far to help us to reach our £10,000 match funding milestone – we really appreciate your support. In order to unlock the Cotswold Community Fund pledge, we need to continue raising funds to reach our £10,000 target by 31 March 2024, otherwise all pledges and donations will be refunded.
Mrs Tye, Chief Financial Officer at The Cotswold School said,
“Thank you to Cotswold District Council who, as part of their Cotswold Community Fund, has confirmed their £10,000 pledge towards our new Astroturf carpet. Their input is invaluable and we are immensely grateful for their support. We are humbled by the generosity of those who have pledged and donated to our project so far, and continue to do so. Over the next 5 months, our sights are firmly set on raising the £10,000 required to match the council’s pledge.”
“We have looked after the current surface really well and it has lasted a lot longer than intended, we are now looking forward to ensuring the our Astro is fit for purpose so that our school and local community have many more years of Astro sporting activities ahead.”
As well as continued funding through
Spacehive, please keep an eye out for news about future fundraising events to help us reach that target – starting with a ‘Make Your Own Macrame Christmas Decoration’ event in school on 14 December!
