Ambitions to be a doctor?
For a number of years, students considering applications to university in biological science and medicine-related subjects have benefited from information sessions with Dr Gina Hadley, who is one of our governors and a former Head Girl.
Here is what sixth-former Megan Jones said about mentoring from Dr Hadley:
“I decided medicine was for me when I was in Year 6. My dad worked in the medical field and inspired me to want to do so, too.
“My ambitions in the profession are to specialise in surgery, specifically trauma or paediatrics but am excited to learn, develop and possibly change my mind!
“Already, Dr Hadley’s advice on writing a personal statement has made quite a daunting process a lot easier to formulate, which has been a great take-away from the first session.”
