Winners of the Young Writer and Young Environmentalist Rotary competitions

Well done to our Rotary competition winners!

Young Writer competition, intermediate group

Lauren in Year 8 wowed the judges from the North Cotswolds Rotary with the best story about ‘My Happiest Day’. They said, “She gives the impression of writing effortlessly. Very well done!”

Second place went to Reuben (Y8) and joint third were Ewan and Jessica, also both in Year 8.

Young Environmentalist competition, intermediate group

With his project, ‘Climate change and coral reefs’, Cerian in Year 7 produced what the judges called “an outstanding piece of work, with recommendations for action at both a global and individual level”.

Second place went to Caitlin in Year 9, with her beautifully illustrated project, ‘Animal habitats and climate change’.

Gilly (Y7) and the team of Emily and Bella (Y8) were highly commended by the judges.
