Year 12 visit Chesil Beach, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove

On Friday 18 November, Year 12 Geography students visited the Dorset coastline. They learnt about a range of coastal processes and the formation of different coastal landforms through visiting Chesil Beach, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Activities included collecting primary fieldwork data to investigate how and why the beach characteristics change along Chesil Beach, as well as collecting sediment data to explore whether it varied between the beach at Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove.  At the end of a busy day, there was just enough time to squeeze in a pebble skimming competition before the sunset!

Thank you to all of the staff that went along and thank you to the students, you were brilliant!
