Alumni Achievements: Lorna Finnimore

Old Cotswoldian, Lorna Finnimore has recently completed her first year studying Architecture at the University of the West of England. A long-standing passion for architecture, nurtured through her success in art during her school years, led her to pursue the subject at university.

Reflecting on her first year, Lorna shared:

“My first year doing a bachelors in Architecture at the University of the West of England has been challenging but not in the ways I was expecting. Having done an Art A-Level I knew this would help with my degree, and my drawing skills have definitely been pushed when quickly sketching buildings under a time constraint. But the bigger challenge was creating a life at university outside of my home in the Cotswolds, making new friends, adapting to a different routine and acclimatising to a new city.”

As she looks ahead, Lorna remains committed to her studies and excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in her architectural journey.

Well done Lorna for a successful start to university!
